A common resident, Long-billed Plover can be seen throughout the year. It resembles Little Ringed Plover, but the bird is larger with a longer bill; its eye-rings are thinner and not conspicuous|identification marks from Little Ringed Plover. While Little Ringed Plover has no wing bars, the species has faint wing bars in flight|another identification mark. The bird is usually observed alone or in a small flock of several birds, but on rare occasions in a flock of several dozen.
