No.452 Eurasian Skylark Alauda arvensis

L=17cm

Rank : 2
Resident
Skylark singing in the sky is a common scene everywhere in spring, but a decrease in the number has been confirmed here according to our Kawaseki-kai investigation. Although conspicuous when singing in spring, not noticeable in other seasons because of its somber plumage; the species is resident in Asakawa River basin. Male and Female alike; often raises its crest.
