One of the five wagtails that can be seen in Asakawa River Basin. A slender wagtail, the birdfs underparts and belly are yellow as its Japanese name suggests (Ki-sekirei meaning "yellow" wagtail).  Although the bird is a common resident in Asakawa River Basin, we may see the bird more often in wintertime.
