Common winter visitor to Asakawa River basin. Conspicuous with its series of whistles followed by tac-tac notes perching on antenna of house or fence posts. The species usually visits around October and leaves in April in Asakawa River basin. Both Male and Female have white wing spots like family crests on kimono.
