Although some warblers look alike, each of them has its characteristic song.  This species is more often heard than seen (rather difficult bird to find). The popular interpretation of its song by many Japanese birders is something like gShochu-ippai-guiiih literally meaning gsake-a cup-at one gulp.h
The species has been recorded in our Societyfs annual summer-bird survey.@According to the data, some 40~60 birds have been observed annually in Asakawa River basin (including Yajigawa River basin) (a total of 19 observation sites).
